Clash of Clans to Remove Troop Training Times in Major Update

May 03,25

Clash of Clans, a cornerstone of mobile gaming, is set to undergo a significant transformation that promises to refresh the gameplay experience for its dedicated community. Supercell has been gradually modernizing the game, and the latest update is poised to be a game-changer: the complete removal of troop, spell, and siege unit training times. This monumental change follows the elimination of training costs back in 2022, signaling a new era for the game.

Starting immediately, players will no longer have to wait to deploy their armies, enabling them to jump into battles faster than ever before. This update is set to revolutionize the way players strategize and engage in combat, making every moment count. However, with this shift, Training Potions and Training Treats are being phased out. They will no longer be available through in-app purchases or chest rewards, though you can still find them in the Trader and Gold Pass for now. Be sure to use them before the end of the month, as they will be converted to Gems.

To complement this change, Supercell is introducing a new feature called "Match Anytime." This allows players to attack a snapshot of another player's base when no real-time opponents are available. This ensures you can always engage in combat and earn rewards, without any repercussions for the base owner if defeated. This mechanic, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League attacks, will now be a standard feature.

Alongside these major updates, other changes are on the horizon, such as Army Donations now requiring Elixirs or Dark Elixirs. For a comprehensive look at all the upcoming changes, be sure to check out the Supercell blog.
