Civilization 7's post-release roadmap revealed

Jun 14,25

The first DLC for *Civilization VII*, titled *Crossroads of the World*, will arrive in two phases starting in March. In the initial installment, players will have the chance to lead both Great Britain and Carthage, while also experiencing a brand-new leader—Ada Lovelace, the legendary pioneer of computing. Three weeks later, the second wave will launch, introducing Simon Bolivar as a new leader, along with Bulgaria and Nepal as playable civilizations.

Later in 2025, during the second or third quarter (April through September), the next major DLC titled *Right to Rule* will expand the game further. This update will bring two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and more natural wonders to discover.

Firaxis is committed to deepening gameplay with fresh mechanics, challenges, and events. As early as March, players can expect new in-game events and iconic natural wonders such as the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest to be integrated into the world of *Civilization VII*.

Civilization 7 roadmap

*Civilization VII* will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Those who purchased the Deluxe or Founders Edition will gain early access starting February 6—five days ahead of the official release. A day-one patch will also be released alongside the full version on February 11 to ensure optimal performance across all platforms.

Developer Firaxis Games and publisher 2K have announced that *Sid Meier’s Civilization VII* has now gone gold. This milestone confirms that development is officially complete, and barring any unexpected issues, the game will launch on schedule without further delays.

The latest entry in the globally acclaimed strategy series is set to launch globally on February 11, 2025. The game will be fully compatible with Steam Deck and available on all modern platforms at launch.
