Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1
Tomorrow marks an exciting milestone for Monster Hunter Wilds as it receives its first Title Update, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has taken a firm stance against cheating, ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom issued a clear warning: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This underscores Capcom's commitment to maintaining the integrity of the game's competitive environment.
Moreover, Capcom emphasized that participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to an invalid quest completion time and the revocation of rewards for everyone in the party. They advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those engaging in or suspected of prohibited activities. Capcom encourages players to report any fraudulent behavior they encounter during quests.
The new quests will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This system explains Capcom's stringent measures against cheating, as it directly impacts the fairness of reward distribution and completion times.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be available with Title Update 1 and will be managed through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja. To access this, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Be sure to head there once Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
