Buttered Cat: Toasty Platformer Puzzle Launches Soon
A charming new puzzle platformer, Cato: Buttered Cat, is coming soon to Android! The game's whimsical title—a portmanteau of "cat" and "toast"—perfectly captures its unique premise. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers at Team Woll did, and the result is a delightful, gravity-defying adventure.
Originally showcased at the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam, Cato: Buttered Cat's positive reception led to its full development. Currently available on Steam for PC, the Android version is on its way. While the Google Play Store listing isn't live yet, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page.
Gameplay:
Control both a cat and a slice of buttered toast to solve puzzles, battle foes, and explore five fantastical worlds. With 200 levels (including side quests) and 30 unique outfits, there's plenty to discover. The gameplay hinges on the dynamic duo's contrasting abilities: the agile cat climbs and runs, while the toast serves as a controllable projectile, launching the cat to otherwise inaccessible areas. Hidden rooms and Easter eggs add to the replayability.
