Neowiz and Gamfs N have just unleashed the first content update for BrownDust2 since its 1.5-year anniversary celebration in December. Dubbed Onsen Training, this update brings a steaming blend of action and fun to the game.

Onsen Training transports players to a serene Japanese winter hot spring, where they'll engage in swordfighting battles and face a series of BrownDust2-style challenges. Adding to the excitement, there's a dash of monkey mischief that promises both laughs and chaos.

BrownDust2 Is Ready for an Onsen Training

The update introduces three new characters to the mix. Ventana, the story's protagonist, along with Liberta, are available through the pickup draw for players to command. Meanwhile, Blade, a legendary figure, remains exclusive to the narrative.

Set in the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden’s Gate of BrownDust2, the Onsen Training event story unfolds across 30 battles, divided into 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.

The adventure kicks off with Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, who is reeling from a recent defeat by Justia, a new student. Eager to restore her honor, Ventana heads to a snowy mountain hot spring, rumored to boost physical strength. However, her training is thrown into disarray by the playful Snowy Mountain Monkeys.

Blade, a legendary Kendo Club graduate, comes to her rescue but quickly dismisses her plea for swordsmanship training. Enter Liberta, the hot spring manager, who steps up to help Ventana win over Blade's mentorship.

There’s a New Mini-Game

A new mini-game, Onsen Tile Tactics, challenges players to clear tiles against the clock. The event story progresses through phases, starting with Legendary Graduate in the first week and culminating in Beyond Legend by the third week.

Players will battle both returning and new bosses. The first week sees the return of Giant Rou, the Fiend Hunter boss, while the third week introduces the formidable Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a giant monkey that becomes more powerful when targeting enemies with DoT effects.

Additionally, the Guild Raid boss, Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut. With no elemental properties, Rucersingha unleashes devastating attacks and requires numerous chain stacks to defeat.

The update also brings new gear and costumes to collect. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume is available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume, which can be obtained until February 13th.
