After months of speculation, leaks, and mounting anticipation, Bethesda is finally set to officially unveil its remastered version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the official Bethesda account revealed plans for a live announcement scheduled for 8:00 AM PT / 11:00 AM ET, streaming across both YouTube and Twitch. Although the tweet didn't disclose the exact nature of the reveal, the prominent "IV" in the promotional image and a background resembling iconic Oblivion artwork left little to the imagination.

Talks of an Oblivion remake have circulated for years, but recent developments have made this rumor mill far more credible. The first hint came from a leaked Bethesda internal schedule back in 2020—later revealed during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023—which listed an Oblivion remaster slated for fiscal year 2022. At the time, however, the document was outdated enough that many dismissed it as a canceled idea.

However, fresh rumors re-emerged earlier this year when new leaks suggested that what was once a simple remaster had evolved into a full-scale remake. According to those reports, Bethesda was working alongside Virtuos—a studio known for supporting high-profile game development projects—on a modernized take of the classic RPG.

Just days ago, those claims gained even more credibility when additional details appeared—this time pulled directly from Virtuos’ own website—including screenshots and gameplay footage of the remake in action.

If these leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered will launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. A Deluxe Edition is also expected to be available at launch, featuring the iconic Horse Armor add-on alongside the standard release.
