Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

Attention, all Sim enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a grand return to your virtual neighborhoods as part of the latest update for The Sims 4. This update is rolling out across PC and console, reintroducing the infamous Robin Banks. It's time to secure your valuables because she strikes under the cover of night, primarily targeting homes when everyone's asleep. However, don't let your guard down completely; she's been known to pull off daring heists even when Sims are wide awake. Stay vigilant!

To keep your Sims safe from this crafty thief, consider installing a burglar alarm. If Robin Banks triggers it, the police will arrive swiftly to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen goods. Even if your home isn't equipped with an alarm, you can still call the police, but you'll need to act fast. Alternatively, if you're feeling bold, you can opt for a bit of vigilante justice. The choice is yours.

While burglar events are designed to be rare occurrences, if you're someone who thrives on chaos, you can increase your chances by activating the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," The Sims' team expressed. "A big shout out to our entire team for making this happen. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims' 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite being a decade old, The Sims 4 continues to thrive, and the entire series celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. Remarkably, The Sims 4 attracted over 15 million new players in the past year alone. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4, initially a premium game, took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, when it transitioned to a free-to-play model in 2022, it saw an explosive growth, gaining 31 million new players immediately and reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And for those eagerly awaiting news on The Sims 5, there are currently no plans in place. Plum!
