This vibrant platform is a double-edged sword: you can find genuinely creative takes on familiar ideas alongside uninspired cash grabs. Ballistic Hero VNG, however, puts a spin on something you'd rarely expect to see.

At first glance, the characters, art style, and overall presentation of Ballistic Hero might suggest a turn-based RPG. Surprisingly, it's actually one of the few released titles that fits the "Worms-like" category.

Yes, that Worms—the iconic turn-based PvP multiplayer battler. Ballistic Hero captures the slow, tactical, yet explosive action of pitting you against your friends in a fight to the finish. Take out foes with quick, straightforward weapons, or wait for the perfect moment to unleash a massive barrage from rocket launchers and mortars.

Naturally, Ballistic Hero omits a few mechanics that might disappoint hardcore Worms fans. The lack of destructible terrain, for instance, is a signature feature of the original franchise. Beyond that, however, the game appears to be a faithful, if more casual, interpretation of the formula.

Players will encounter a gacha-style system for acquiring new weapons and limited-time skins. It also seems you'll be able to fully customize your own eccentric character for battle. Keep an eye out for Ballistic Hero, which is scheduled to launch on Android and iOS later this month.
