The developer acknowledges the complexity of implementing crossplay in a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale and encourages player participation. Players are invited to recruit friends or join groups via the Larian Studios Discord server.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update, Larian reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing support, particularly for modders. Significant updates are planned to enhance modding tools and empower players to create and share their own stories. Since the September release of official mod tools, the community has already downloaded over 70 million modules and uploaded over 3,000 mods.
