Augmented Reality Adventure Adds Languages for Latin American Market

Oct 20,22

Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam – a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. This exciting title recently received an update adding Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, with German, Italian, and Spanish planned for release in the coming months.

But what exactly is Fantasma? Players hunt and battle mischievous creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in AR, requiring players to move their phones to track and target Fantasma, shooting virtual projectiles to deplete their health and capture them in special bottles.

Fantasma creatures appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. Deployable sensors expand your search radius, and cooperative gameplay allows for teaming up with other players.

Fantasma is free-to-play (with in-app purchases) and available now on the App Store and Google Play. Download it via the links below. For more AR gaming options, check out our list of the best AR games for iOS.
