Unlocking Astro Bot's Lost Galaxy: A Comprehensive Guide to Finding All 10 Hidden Portals

Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers players dozens of explorable worlds. However, a hidden tenth world, the Lost Galaxy, requires discovering ten cleverly concealed portals scattered throughout the main game's levels. This guide details the location and access method for each. Look for a swirling icon on the level select screen; its presence indicates a hidden portal within that stage.

Portal #1: Az-Tech Trail

Mid-level, locate a dark chamber with four lit torches surrounding a wall. Utilize the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish all four flames. This will reveal the portal.

Portal #2: Creamy Canyon

Early in the level, a snowy area features a bouncing ladybug enemy. Proceed past it to a charging pig. Grab the pig, swing it, and aim towards an icy statue at the platform's edge. Releasing the pig destroys the statue. Backtrack, leap over the ladybug, and bounce to a higher platform. A charged spin attack unveils a room containing the portal.

Portal #3: Go-Go Archipelago

After defeating Captain Pincher, locate his claw embedded in the ground. A glowing light indicates a spot for a charged spin attack. Drilling here reveals a hidden room with the portal and treasure.

Portal #4: Downsize Surprise

Towards the level's end, find a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into your controller to initiate bubble production. Shrink, ride a bubble, and transfer to another before it pops to reach a branch above a bot. Navigate to the opposite branch to find the portal.

Portal #5: Free Big Brother!

This is the easiest portal. At the level's start, turn around to find platforms and an electric enemy. Lure it to electrocute the platforms, revealing the hidden portal.

Portal #6: Bathhouse Battle

Find the house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, ascend to the roof and extinguish the flames. Descend the chimney to access the portal.

Portal #7: Hieiroglitch Pyramid

At the level's end, turn right to find falling jewels and a bounce pad leading to a hidden area. Activate a trap and locate two hidden switches to open the pathway to the portal.

Portal #8: Balloon Breeze

This is the most challenging portal. Obtain the pufferfish power-up and backtrack to an early area with a distant platform and a bouncing ladybug. Launch the ladybug towards the floating area, bounce on it, activate the pufferfish, and use Astro's hover to reach the platform. Use motion controls to clear bamboo surrounding the portal, then circle it to activate.

Portal #9: Djinny of the Lamp

After defeating Djinny, climb the ruins. Glowing ground indicates invisible platforms. Hover to each, use the rug to reach another platform, where the portal awaits.

Portal #10: Frozen Meal

Before the boss fight, roll a snowball into a large ball and use it as a platform to reach the cliffside area, where the final portal is located.
