Studio Wildcard has released an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, outlining nearly two years of exciting updates for fans of the popular survival crafting game. Initially launched in early access in late November 2023, ARK: Survival Ascended has been receiving regular content updates from Studio Wildcard.

On January 11, the Redmond, Washington-based developer shared its detailed roadmap, which extends until late 2026. The roadmap kicks off with a significant technical update in March 2025, transitioning ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade promises substantial performance improvements and will see the reintroduction of support for Nvidia's frame generation technology, which was previously removed due to engine issues in late 2024.

ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will also facilitate Studio Wildcard's ongoing efforts to restructure the game's data, enabling players to download individual ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs. This approach will help manage the game's install size more effectively. Following the engine update, new content is slated for April 2025, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.

In June 2025, a new premium map will be introduced as paid DLC, with details to be announced in the coming months, likely in early spring. The roadmap continues with another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature scheduled for August 2025.

Moving into 2026, Studio Wildcard will focus on remastering ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is set to launch in April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026. Each part will be accompanied by a segment of Bob's True Tales, a new content drop included in the game's season pass. The year will conclude with the release of the remastered Fjordur map in December 2026 as a free update. Additionally, three more Fantastic Tames are planned for 2026.

While the roadmap provides a broad overview, Studio Wildcard may have smaller surprises planned for ARK: Survival Ascended in the coming years.
