Alchemy Stars to Shut Down After Four Years, Offline Version Released
Last month, Tencent and Level Infinite made a significant announcement regarding the future of Alchemy Stars, a game that hit the mobile scene back in June 2021. As the game's live services are set to conclude, players will have the opportunity to enjoy an offline version, allowing them to relive the story even after the official shutdown.
When Is the Game Wrapping Up Its Services?
Mark your calendars—Alchemy Stars will be shutting down its live service run on January 24th, 2025. In preparation for the transition to an offline version, a maintenance period is scheduled for January 10th from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT to deploy version 1.43.0. This update is critical for players wanting to save their progress, as it introduces a local data save feature.
After the maintenance, make sure to update your game to access this new feature. You'll find a data save button on the main page; tap it to navigate to a page where you can securely save your user data. Remember, you can save your data multiple times, but this option will only be available until January 24th at 4:00 GMT. Post this deadline, any unsaved data will be lost forever.
Once Alchemy Stars shifts to its special offline edition, there will be no further updates. It's also worth noting that deleting the app will mean you can't download it again, as reinstalling won't be an option. The offline version will enable you to explore your saved data, play through the story, and upgrade your units at your leisure.
The transition to an offline version is a silver lining compared to a total shutdown. It’s a thoughtful move by Tencent and Level Infinite, ensuring that fans can still enjoy the game's rich narrative. So, prepare for this change and consider downloading Alchemy Stars from the Google Play Store before it's no longer available.
