Remedy Entertainment celebrates Alan Wake 2's near one-year anniversary with a substantial, free Anniversary Update on October 22nd. The developer expressed gratitude to its fanbase in a blog post, acknowledging the community's contributions.

This free update, released alongside The Lake House expansion, introduces extensive accessibility options, including infinite ammo and one-hit kills. PS5 players will also experience improved DualSense functionality, with haptic feedback integrated into healing and throwable items. Additionally, the ability to invert horizontal axis controls is added.

Responding to player feedback, the update incorporates numerous quality-of-life improvements. Remedy highlights its ongoing commitment to Alan Wake 2, stating that development hasn't ceased since the initial launch, with work continuing on expansions and incorporating player suggestions.
