All scanwords are free, with a yearly collection of 52-53 issues, each containing 20 puzzles. The app is designed to be space-efficient, requiring only about 50MB of storage. No internet connection is needed once the scanwords are downloaded. New issues are released every Friday, with optional weekly reminders. Users can download individual issues or the entire collection at once.

The app is supported by advertising, with a single banner ad per page and an interstitial ad before each puzzle. The advertising experience is designed not to disrupt gameplay. Viewers of advertiser videos are rewarded with free hints.

Users can choose to: a) disable ads permanently; b) purchase a subscription to remove ads and gain unlimited hints; or c) accumulate hints individually. These options are detailed in the app's "Shop" section.
